Rosario is a Guatemalan-American filmmaker based in New York. Inspired by her Chapin (Guatemalan) heritage, she is passionate about using film to amplify underrepresented voices and bring greater representation to the screen.

In 2017, Rosario took her first steps as a filmmaker by directing a short film at the Manhattan Film Institute. She continued her involvement with MFI, working as a staffer until 2022. After graduating from SUNY Oneonta in 2019, she gained valuable experience in pre-production, production, and post-production on various projects, including feature films, music videos, short films and commercials.

In 2019, Rosario co-produced and co-directed the crowdfunded documentary series "En Mi Camino" with her film partner, Charlie Ehrman. This series, produced in partnership with the nonprofit, Yuntos, offers a unique perspective on the lives of Guatemalans in Central America.

As a first-generation immigrant from a humble background, Rosario is deeply grateful for the opportunities she has received. She is committed to using film as a tool to empower marginalized communities and provide a platform for underrepresented voices.
